The sun rises above the eastern horizon of the Coorong (Kurangk), on Ngarrindjeri Country. Sunrise symbolizes new beginnings, and each dawn carries the mystery of what the new day may bring. How often do you step outside to watch the sun rise, marking the start of a new day? We often forget to appreciate the beauty of the world around us because we are preoccupied with our thoughts. Conan Doyle writes, “How small we feel with our petty ambitions and strivings in the presence of the great elemental forces of nature!”
